The upcoming Taranta Folk Fest, will be organized by the Compagnia del Teatro Jonico Salentino lead by Valerio Manisi.
There will be great performances leading up to the concert at 21:00h.
The first events will take place at 16:30, followed by events starting at/17:00 until 20:00, FREE ENTRY.
At 16:30 – Free excursion to the Gravina di Riggio, including a guided tour by expert members of the’Associazione Gruppo Grotte di Grottaglie
At 17:00 h– “Tamburieddo” or “Tamburo a cornice” withil maestro Stefano Scatigna. Great percussionist!
At 17:00 h – free dance workshop with Deborah Bisci
Come and learn the traditional Apulian way to dance.
From 19:00 and with an open end – LIBeRO SCAMBIO – Book exchange organized by the’Associazione di Promozione Sociale Macchià, people bring their used books (except for school books) and exchange them for used books that they have not read yet
The traditional pizzica is danced while embracing a partner. This hug need not necessarily involve two individuals of opposite sexes, and often two women can be seen dancing together
At 21:00 – ILCONCERTONE2014 – the main event, the big concert will start
