Tour Details

The Itria Valley with its beautiful, ancient olive trees, some of which are more than a thousand years old, is also worth seeing, because the old town centers of the whitewashed towns are architecturally and historically interesting. Enjoy the southern Italian flair of the beautiful landscape with the regional houses (here Masseria called) and the walls, built in drywall between the fields, which can be found between the provinces of Bari, Brindisi and Taranto.
The Adriatic Sea…. First you will visit Puglia and then the journey continues to Greece, a journey in the footsteps of the culture and history of these Mediterranean countries.
And then the sea and the possibility to sail between the Ionian Islands in Greece and to enjoy in the midst of beautiful nature a lot of comfort and absolute tranquility.

Itinerary

Day 1Arrival in Brindisi, Puglia

Arrive at Brindisi airport and transfer to a 4-star hotel in the historic center of Ostuni. In Ostuni there are many restaurants where you can have dinner. We reserve the hotel rooms including bed and breakfast.

Day 2The picturesque towns in the Itria Valley

This day is dedicated to getting to know the most important historic centers of the Itria Valley. In the morning we visit Alberobello (known for the trulli, the round stone houses with conical roofs, a UNESCO World Heritage Site). After a short lunch break (optional, lunch is payable locally) we visit Cisternino, another beautiful city in Puglia. The old town stretches over winding streets. The houses are whitewashed and there are some pretty aristocratic palaces in Cisternino.
In the afternoon we continue to Ceglie Messapica. The city is known for its excellent restaurants. In addition to visiting the old town center, you can also taste wines and typical products of this region on request. Please inform us of your interest in tastings as soon as possible, as we need to check which of our partners offer tastings at the desired time. Return to the hotel. The dinner is not included in the price. In Ostuni there are many good restaurants, where you get good dinner.

Day 3Martina Franca and Locorotondo

On the third day, visits to the cities Martina Franca and Locorotondo are on the program. Martina Franca is the highest town in the Itria Valley at about 400 meters above sea level. She is known for her architecture in Apulian Baroque style.
After the lunch break (optional) we continue to Locorotondo, a town known for its white wine. Every year a large number of music lovers come to Locorotondo for the Locus Festival. Again, we have the opportunity to make various tastings or end the day at sunset with an aperitif. Return to the hotel. On request, we will gladly reserve a table for you in a restaurant where you can have a good evening meal.

Day 4From Puglia to Greece

Transfer to the airport or port of Bari and departure to Greece.

From Day 5 By sailboat from island to island

Vacation on the sailboat VelaKi
A week of relaxation: sunbathing, enjoying the sea, swimming in the enchanting bays … When the wind comes up in the afternoon, you will drive from one island to the next. In good weather and favorable conditions, the activities we offer during the week will take place: Reiki energy treatment and yoga for those who would like to participate. The activities are part of our offer. They are always optional.
On arrival, a light lunch is served on the first day: a Greek salad and a welcome drink. After we set out on our route to the south immediately, we will dine in the tavern or on the boat as you wish, and you will get to know the crew better.
The VelaKi breakfast menu consists of yoghurt and fruit breakfast, bread, pastries, jam, coffee, milk and juices.
Lunch is light and based on salads, bruschetta, classic tsatsiki, feta and Greek kalamata olives.
After a nice sailing trip, an aperitif with cold beer is usually offered!
Three to four dinners with Italian pasta, rice and vegetables or couscous are included in the price.
The other remaining dinners will be served in the characteristic taverns of the ports (not included in the price, but to be paid at the restaurant).
