This historical hotel with charme in Otranto is situated near the sea in the middle of some narrow and winding streets of Otranto’s old city centre. Otranto is called “Porta d’Oriente”meaning “Gate of the East” because of its location. It has a suggestive centre of medieval origins and it is surrounded by ancient walls. Those and the Aragonese castle were erected in order to protect the city from pirate’s attacks.
There are restaurants and shops near the hotel. Its rooms and suite are furnished elegantly. There are an air-conditioning system, a TV-set, a bathroom with a shower and a hairdryer. The mosquito nets over the big white beds reminds one of romantic eastern rooms.
