3 Hours Before Flight Time
A unique and very special vacation in Puglia
Arrival day: On the first day all participants will arrive either at the airport of Bari or of Brindisi and be taken to the
hotel (in a Puglian Manor Estate that was transformed into a hotel, a so-called masseria) by private transfer. In the
afternoon you can relax at the pool or maybe at the sea and in the evening there will be a briefing and a presentation
of the vintage car tour in Puglia explaining the details for the next day. Dinner is not included in the price. It is possible
to have dinner at the masseria, where you will also spend the night.
After breakfast at 9.00 o’clock you will meet your guide for a short explanation of how to drive a vintage car and which route to take. Our tour will be accompanied by a backup car, a tour leader will lead the way together with the tour guide in a car during the whole vintage car tour. We will drive along panoramic, less frequented streets, where you will discover the uniqueness of the Puglian landscape of the Itria Valley. Finally we will arrive in the baroque city Martina Franca.
After having parked our cars at the main square, we will visit the seventeenth century Palazzo Ducale and a majestic church, the Basilica di San Martino, dedicated to Martina Franca’s patron saint.
After the visit of the city we will stop at a local shop for a tasting of Puglian specialties such as mozzarella cheese and Martina Franca’s “Capocollo” (capo = head, collo =neck)
After the tasting of all those delicacies we will go back to our vintage cars and drive back.
At 15.30h we will arrive at the masseria hotel. The rest of the afternoon can be dedicated to relaxing at the pool or maybe at the seaside. Dinner is not included in the price. You will spend the night in the same masseria hotel.
You can relax in the morning and either spend some time at the pool or maybe at the seaside.
After lunch, at 15.00h we will be in our vintage cars and drive to Alberobello, the capital city of the trulli (stone houses with conical roofs).
During our tour we will see many century old olive trees, fields will alternate with vineyards, where Primitivo and Negroamaro grapes are grown.
After our arrival at Alberobello we will park the cars on the main square. Then our tour leader and our specialized tour guide will show us the trulli village. Alberobello is on the UNESCO list of cultural heritage sites. At the end of our visit we will go back to the masseria hotel for dinner. You will spend the night in the same masseria hotel.
Departure day: This day can be dedicated to relaxing and organizing your departure.
A private transfer will take you to the airport of Bari or Brindisi in time for your departure.
